Purple Heart Car Donation
The Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation was established over 75 years ago, with the mission of assisting wounded and disabled United States veterans. The organization is composed exclusively of veterans who were wounded in combat and received the Purple Heart medal. Through the numerous programs they run, funded in large part by their Purple Heart car donation system, the Purple Heart Service Foundation has been able to assist thousands of veterans in many ways.
The Purple Heart National Service Officer Program is one service offered by this organization. Through this program a number of missions are carried out, such as providing Veteran’s Benefits Experts at Veterans Administration regional offices, hospitals, and other state and county veteran’s facilities. These experts can help to ensure that a veteran receives the benefits earned from service to their country.
In addition, this program provides for the processing of veterans’ claims for compensation, pension, education, medical care, housing, death, and burial benefits. The program also provides assistance to the dependents, widows and orphans of service veterans.
Did you know that, according to a recent report, 1 in 4 homeless persons is a service veteran? These are people who risked everything to defend the American way of life we hold dear, only to be forgotten by society. This program also works toward identifying, and assisting, these homeless veterans.
The organization runs the Purple Heart National Appeals Office in Washington, D.C., which provides assistance to veterans whose benefits have been denied by a local VA regional office. PHSF also runs the Purple Heart Court of Veterans Appeals, and is one of only four organizations with a full-time attorney at law to represent veterans presenting their claims.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation accepts car donations as a method of giving toward their organization. In fact, they claim to have received over one-half million purple heart car donations toward their cause, with many individuals being repeat donors.
